Stadiou Street : The Michelin guide review

At first commercial, this street reaches Klafthmonos Square (Square of Tears), so called due to sacked civil servants from neighbouring ministries who came to weep here. At the bottom of it, you will find the 11C church of Sts Theodore (Ágii Theodori), the oldest in Athens, the cupola of which rests on walls, not columns. Not far from this, a modest neoclassical residence (1834), the palace of the Greek sovereigns from 1836 to 1842, built by Léo von Klenze, is home to Athens City Museum.
