Pandrossou street : The Michelin guide review

This narrow street, congested with busy crowds, looks like a souk, lined with canopied stalls at the edges of which vendors call out to the customers. The shelves are crammed with a variety of objects: babouches, tsaroúhia (clogs with bobbles), carpets, knitwear and embroideries, belts, carved or embossed silver and copper objects, icons and ceramics, etc. To the left was the entrance to the Bazaar, a market which burnt down in 1885, and which had been in the ruins of Hadrian's library.
