Haddon Hall : The Michelin guide review

Overlooking the River Wye since the 12C, uneven, discreet and quintessentially English, Haddon Hall was extended many times up until the 17C, before being beautifully restored by the 9th Duke of Rutland in the early 20C. Note the murals in the little chapel and don't miss the walled garden and the terraced gardens that slope pleasingly towards the river and its ancient bridge.
