Lined with corbelled houses, this is the most popular of the many picturesque streets in the city. Nearby, Pavement, with its church dedicated to all saints, is thus named because it was the first paved street of the Middle Ages.

Pros
Being a very narrow street, early evening is the best time to walk along it - although the shops are closed!! Earlier than this you will find it crowded. The market, through any of the `snickleways` is worth a look round too.
Cons
Nothing. Everywhere in this city you can find something of interest. For me it is the most interesting city in the country, including London.
