Broughty Ferry : The Michelin guide review

Not far from Dundee, the former fishing village of Broughty Ferry is now a ferry terminal and renowned seaside resort. A medieval fort houses a local museum with an interesting section on whaling. On the northern outskirts is Claypotts Castle, an example of a 16C Z-plan tower house, with round towers in the centrepiece. With loopholes at ground level, this building had an important defensive role.
