Cathedral star : The Michelin guide review

Building started in 1096, but the Cathedral was not consecrated until 1278 and underwent many changes during the period up until the 16C.
Built in Caen stone, the mightyRoman tower and the 15C spire accentuate the qualities of the long knave and the delicate flying-buttresses of the chevet. Inside, admire the misericords of the stalls in the chancel, the retable, and the chapels of Jesus and St Luke.
