TOURISM
The Chapter House is set in the precincts of Westminster Abbey. St Faith Chapel, the old sacristy, is reserved for private prayer (southern transept). The octagonal Chapter House was finished in 1253 and has since been restored. It was used as the House of Commons from 1257 to 1547 and contains fine vaults. The original tiled floor is well preserved and wall paintings have survived in places. Fine sculptures overlook the entrance.
