The three huge buildings, the Port of Liverpool Building with its verdigris dome, built in 1907 and the neighbouring buildings the Cunard Building (1913) and the Royal Liver Building (1908) with its famousLiver Birds which surmount its domes, are, even more so than the Cathedrals, the most famous Liverpudlian symbols.
