This monumental sandstone building, used for catholic confession is the work of Giles Gilbert Scott, who here gives an interpretation of gothic tradition, with the originality of a double transept. The nave bestows an impression of enormity, solidity and of height. The tower (100m) plays host to the heaviest peal of bells in the world (31 t). Make sure you see the Virgin chapel and its 15th C. retable by Giovanni della Robba.
