Cuisine British modern

Carte: 18£/28£

Airy, linen-clad restaurant with large arched windows, in a slightly quirky, bohemian-style hotel. Eclectic menu offers British dishes with a twist; many ingredients are from the family farm.

      Pros

      Wonderful setting

      Cons

Inappropriately and undeservedly proud delivery of poorly cooked produce Excuse from Chef (who did not accept invitation to justify this) for fact fat Cut off steak BEFORE cooked was that that that was what came from the butcher! No half bottles of wine. This place was superb but has become utterly (and smugly) complacent. The owners are splendid people but have apparently failed to notice this threat to their custom.
