Pros
The food - seasonal, fresh ingredients
Cons
Service could be better - we visited on a Saturday lunchtime and did wait some time for our meals, however the staff are friendly even when run off their feet. Choice of table - we booked a table for 5 with room for a pram. The table picked for us was probably the most impractical for a pram in the whole restaurant, however we made it work as there wasn't the opportunity to move as the restaurant was so busy.

Pros
If only we got that far.
Cons
We arrived here for Saturday lunch. The menu looked interesting, we ordered pies and looked forward to our food. Time passed and around half an hour later I told the manageress we had been waiting a while now and could she let us know when our food might be ready - as well as being hungry we were watching our time with a parking meter. Immediately she said this would be down to the restaurant being very busy and went off to check for us, we looked around the half full room slightly surprised that this might be the reason. It wasn't either. Five minutes later she returned apologetically, the kitchen had lost the order and it would take a minimum of 15 minutes to prepare from scratch. No use to us, we left still wondering why the manageress claimed delays were because of busyness before even checking up and finding her own excuse was nonsense, also why we could sit in a half empty room for half an hour without any food and none of the considerable number of waiters even noticing.
