This medieval wool town has numerous half-timbered houses. The most striking buildings are the Church of St Peter and St Paul (late 15C), one of the great "wool" churches, and the Guildhall, from around 1520, which gives onto the market square and houses a museum dediated to the East Anglian wool trade.
