TOURISM
The museum is housed in a 1950s warehouse on the Floating Harbour quayside. It traces back the city's long history of manufacturing, in particular transport vehicles: horse-drawn carriages, coaches, railway carriages, cars and motorbikes, etc. Upstairs, displays relate the pioneering developments of the aircraft industry, the manufacture of engines in particular. Alongside the many treasured exhibits in the collection is the 19C Mayflower Steam Tug, in full working order.
