This museum's rich, varied collections of artefacts attract amateurs and specialists alike. Exhibits include antique, oriental and locally produced ceramics, china, silver, local archeology and geology exhibits, paintings from the 19C Italian and French schools and the 19 and 20C Scottish school, a selection from the Hull-Grandy costume jewellery bequest, Assyrian and Ancient Egyptian Antiquities, scale models of locomotives and displays of maritime history.
