Landschaftspark Duisburg Nord : The Michelin guide review

The park lies around the Thyssen factories, now disused, which are dominated by their three high chimneys. The halls that used to house foundries and glass blowing workshops now contain cinemas and concert halls. The sintering area has been replaced by an amphitheatre, in which spectators can enjoy light shows designed by Jonathan Park. Every four seconds, 400 relay-controlled bulbs light up the whole factory in an explosion of colours.
