The present-day exhibition hall was once Europe's largest blast-furnace gasometer, 117.5m high and 68m in diameter. The 592 steps of the exterior stair lead to a panoramic platform. Inside, a panoramic elevator takes visitors to the 106m level. At the second level, one begins to get an idea of the impressive volume of the sphere.
