Under the order of the insane King Ludwig, who had a reputation for building grandiose palaces and residences at the expense of German citizens, the castle was commissioned in 1868 by Christian Jank and Eduard Riedel. On this tour, you'll explore this royal Bavarian castle, which is surrounded by alpine scenery. Before you head back to Frankfurt, you'll enjoy an evening in the small town of Füssen. Lunch will be provided en route.
