Travel guide Stuttgart
Stuttgart
: The Michelin guide review
Stuttgart, renowned for its automobile industry (Mercedes, Porsche etc), is undergoing rapid change. The city is extending beyond its urban centre, which is gradually becoming pedestrianised, and turning towards the wooded hills and vineyards which surround it. A city of architects, the capital of Bade-Wurtemberg boasts some fine examples of the different styles of the 20C, and its latest new buildings, such as the cubic, transparent Art museum, are creating a new image for the city. With the arrival of the TGV, Stuttgart is now only 4hrs from Paris.
