Reiß Museum – art, local history and theatre museum star : The Michelin guide review

Housed in an old arsenal (1777-79), the Reiß Museum is divided into three sections. The Fine Arts section displays 18C sculptures and paintings, as well as Baroque and Rococo furniture and a fine collection of European earthenware and porcelain (notably from Frankenthal). There is also a section dedicated to local history, laid out chronologically. Lastly, the museum is also known for its theatrical costumes, props and archives which retrace the history of Mannheim National Theatre.
