Buddenbrooks House : The Michelin guide review

Contrary to legend, Heinrich and Thomas Mann were not born in this house. It was their grandfather who, in 1841, acquired this 1758 house with its fine façade. His grandchildren often visited him here, and Thomas Mann made it the setting for his novel,The Buddenbrooks, the saga of a patrician family in Lübeck. The house is today a museum devoted to the life and work of the two writers.
