Shores of Lake Constance : The Michelin guide review

With the port, shady gardens, casino, quays and ancient defence towers, the shores of Lake Constance make a pleasant place for a stroll. At the end of the jetty stands an 18m-high statue of Imperia, the work of the contemporary sculptor Peter Lenk. The statue symbolises a 16C Italian courtesan whom the French writer Balzac placed in Konstanz in his Contes drôlatiqes.
