Neues Museum : The Michelin guide review

Shortly after the inauguration of the Altes Museum (old museum), Friedrich August Stüler (1800-65) was commissioned to build the New Museum. In ruins prior to Reunification, the museum’s richly decorated interior has been restored and major works undertaken to underpin the building’s foundations, which were beginning to subside into the marshy soil. The museum is now home to the Museum of Pre- and Protohistory and the Egyptian Museum.
