Berlin Cathedral star : The Michelin guide review

This imposing Protestant cathedral (Berliner Dom) built in Italian Renaissance style dates from 1894 to 1905. The southern section of its richly decorated interior is home to the monumental sarcophagus of Frederick I and his second wife, Sophie-Charlotte, sculpted by Andreas Schlüter. The crypt, part of which is open to the public, houses more than 90 tombs of the Hohenzollern dynasty who dominated the Brandenburg area and Prussia for five centuries. Spectacular views from the top of the dome.
