Place de la Nation : The Michelin guide review

This is the former Place du Trône, which under the Revolution, became the Square of the Toppled Throne. At the centre, an attractive bronze group sculpted by Jules Dalou: Le Triomphe de la République. The two columns of the Avenue du Trône were set up by Ledoux. The statues (Philippe Auguste, Saint Louis) were set up later. And the fair of the Throne ? It used to be here.
