Church of St-Germain-de-Charonne : The Michelin guide review

A charming village church dominated by its squat 18th Century belfry, whose presence in the middle of a small cemetery contrasts with the modern buildings around about. Together with place Saint-Blaise, it is the heart of the old village of Charonne. The comedian Pierre Blanchar (whom film fans will remember in Carnet de bal by Duvivier and in La Symphonie pastorale by J. Delanoy, where his partner was Michèle Morgan), is laid to rest in the cemetery.
