This boulevard sees a steady stream of tourist buses, some of which drop their passengers at the cabaret clubs here. The street is also lined by a number of sex shops. Other visitors light a candle to St Rita, the patron of lost causes, at n° 64. The Théâtre des Deux-Ânes perpetuates the tradition of cabaret singers. Several oases of calm remain here, including the Cité Véron (n° 94), where Vian and Prévert lived, the Cité du Midi (n° 48) and the Cité Guelma (n° 5), where Dufy used to paint.
