  Mauvais service, force a la consommation. Des réflexions déplacées et un accueil brutal a l'encaissement. Rapport qualité prix médiocre, ne vaut pas son prix

  The atmosphere is rather nice, the cheese-platter is gorgeous.

  Food might be served not hot enough. Happened at two different tables that night.

  For years Astier was one of our favorite bistro's, but our recent visit - December 2011 - was a bitter disappointment. Though the service was good, the food was average and not what it used to be. Given the poor quality it was also overpriced.

  Pros

  bonne cuisine bistrotière, avec de bons produits bien traités. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Service efficace et prévenant. Carte des vins exhaustive à des prix dans la bonne moyenne parisienne.

  La cadre agréable et simple, les serveurs qui mettent à l'aise et vous font passer un agréable moment.Enchainement des plats parfait et sans attente.L'harmonie des saveurs des ingrédients composants les plats. Des mets "de la maison" travaillés réveillent et surprennent les papilles.

  Cons

  Pas de vin en 1/2 bouteille ; seulement en pichet mais pas mauvais du tout néanmoins.

  Old fashioned Bistro dishes and generous portions including several where you could help yourself. Friendly service. Good value at €33 for the menu of four courses.

  Cons

  The famous cheeseboard had a good variety but was a little "tired". Wines quite pricey in comparison with the menu - house Champagne €60.

  Cheese plate. Old fashioned way of letting you help yourself terrines, marinated herrings etc. Traditional cooking. Reasonable value

  Cramped seatings. A bit of a walk from nearest metro.
