Agincourt : The Michelin guide review

The name of this village in the Artois hills evokes a famous episode of the Hundred Years War: it was here on 25 October 1415 that the English army led by Henry V crushed the French in the Battle of Agincourt. The French army, commanded by the Connétable d’Albret, was four times the size of the English. The Centre Historique Médiéval tells the story of the battle, which was a humiliating blow for the French and which helped to boost a sense of national pride in England.
