At Mortain, the waters of the Cance and Cançon rivers cascade down two magnificent waterfalls. Two paths lead to the 25m high Grande Cascade. The first (starting from avenue de l'Abbaye-Blanche) leads ramblers underwood. The second (rue du Bassin) skirts the river. In order to reach the Petite Cascade, you must cross the Cance. You first catch sight of the Needle Rock then, having crossed the Cançon, you reach a kind of rocky amphitheatre where water rushes down the Petite Cascade from a height of 35m!
