Lyons is one of those villages which, once seen, is never forgotten. Spruce and intact, its half-timbered cob and brick buildings situated against a woodland backdrop, this is the very essence of traditional Normandy. Place Benserade has wood-panelled residences and market. 12km to the south is Écouis, worth visiting for its Collegiate Church of Notre Dame with 14C-17C furnishings and statues (that of St Agnes, with her cascading hair, is remarkable).
