Caudebec-en-Caux
: The Michelin guide review
Caudebec, which for a long time was the capital of the Pays de Caux region, is built on one bank of the Seine, at the mouth of the Ste-Gertrude valley. The Brotonne bridge links with the other bank and gives direct access to the forest of Brotonne, which is enclosed in a loop of the river. The old quarters of Caudebec were ravaged by fire in June 1940, but happily the church of Notre-Dame was spared.
