Basilique N.-D.-d'Avesnières : The Michelin guide review

This Romanesque basilica, sanctuary and place of pilgrimage has preserved its attractive chevet. There is a gothic-Renaissance spire designed in 1538. In the chancel, there are some attractive capitals, a polychromatic 15C wooden Christ and a marvellous statue of Notre-Dame. There are modern stained glass windows signed by Max Ingrand. At the entrance There are two huge polychromatic wooden statues of Saint Christopher and Saint Saviour.
