TOURISM
Beyond Madières, the River Vis runs between the high cliffs of the Blandas limestone plateau on the left and the steep slopes of the Séranne mountain on the right. On leaving Le Claux, ruined Château de Castelas can be seen on a clifftop at the mouth of a ravine. Past Gorniès, a bridge spans the Vis, with a lovely view of Beauquiniès, a pretty terraced village, and of the Roc de Senescal, jutting out from the slope on the left. The valley becomes narrow and rugged before running into the Hérault gorge.
