The biggest and most beautiful Romanesque church of the Midi. It holds the largest number of relics in France, particularly, the sepulchre of Saint Saturnin, first bishop of Toulouse. The chevet, partly made of stone, and the five story eight-sided church tower made of bricks, are magnificent. The Romanesque sculptures of the Miégeville door have been accepted throughout the Midi. A typical pilgrimage church designed for large crowds.
