Gorges de Kakouetta Worth a detour

These gorges, sunk vertically in the limestone, are beautiful as well as impressive, with the beginning of the Grand Étroit the most grandiose of all; this splendid canyon is more than 200m deep but only 3-10m wide. The torrent roars through the long fissure lined by dense vegetation. The path arrives at the water's edge, crossing the stream by numerous footbridges. It ends within sight of a 20m-high waterfall sustained by a resurgent spring, where a cave replete with giant stalactites and stalagmites marks the end of the walk.
