Angoulême star star : The Michelin guide review

Overhanging the Charente River, the old town of Angoulême has three faces; to the north, the narrow alleys, to the south, the aristocratic houses and to the East the business area. Famous for its paper mills (the famous «Angoulême vellum»), it is, above, all the capital of the cartoon. In 1975 a handful of madmen created the famous festival. This has earned it world-wide renown and now it's everywhere... even on the paving slabs!
