Agen
: The Michelin guide review
This quintessentially Southern town has an ambience of carefree goodwill, and why not, given that it is officially “the happiest town in France”? It is a pleasure to stroll along its medieval streets bordered by half-timbered houses and through its shady squares and pedestrianised areas. The town is far from sleepy, however, and is especially lively during the last weekend of August when its renowned prune festival takes place.
