Delightfully situated with views of Mont Blanc, the balcon de Merlet is a mountainous spur running from the Aiguillette du Brévent range. Seven species of mountain fauna (deer, sheep, marmots, llamas, ibex, and marmots) roam free in this 20ha-park of sloping woodland. Visitors may assist in feeding during July and August. From the restaurant terrace or the chapel (1 534m up), there is a fine view of the Mont-Blanc range.
