La Jaÿsinia Alpine Botanical Garden : The Michelin guide review

Created in 1906, this garden is named after its founder and local patron, Mme Cognacq. Covering 3ha, it has 4 500 alpine species laid out in an informative way. On the slopes of the mountain, a little chapel blends unpretentiously into its surrounding landscape. Higher up, from a promontory on which are the ruins of a feudal castle, visitors can enjoy fine views over Samoëns and its backdrop of mountain scenery.
