Villa Ephrussi-de-Rothschild star : The Michelin guide review

Standing in a stunning location on Cap Ferrat, this Italian-style palace was built in 1905 by Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild to house her collection of almost 5 000 works of art (mosaics, Flemish tapestries, porcelain and furniture). After her death in 1935, the baroness left the villa to the Fine Arts Academy of the Institut de France. Surrounded by magnificent gardens, the villa overlooks the sea and has views of Villefranche to one side and Beaulieu to the other.
