Occupying one of the wings of the palace, the Napoleon museum houses objects which belonged to the emperor, whose Florentine family were distantly related to the royal family of Monaco. Amongst the snuffboxes, watches, opera glasses, and ceremonial garments, admire paintings and sculptures, including busts of Napoleon I by Canova and Houdon and a bust of Josephine by Bosio. Another section of the museum contains the palace archives and retraces the history of Monaco through a series of documents.
