Musée des Timbres et des Monnaies : The Michelin guide review

The Stamp and Coin Museum set up in a modern building houses interesting and princely collection, the main attraction of which is the set of beautiful triangular-shaped coins. The oldest coins, which boast the inscription "Monaco", date from 1861. They started to be minted with the effigy of the Monecan Sovereign from 1885 onwards. This museum also has a hall dedicated to stamps and is hence a stamp-collector's paradise.
