Travel guide Cagnes-sur-Mer
Cagnes-sur-Mer
: The Michelin guide review
Cagnes stands amid a landscape of hills carpeted in olive, cypress and palm trees, and flower nurseries. The upper town is a popular haunt for artists attracted by the delightful setting. The château-musée (1310), a fortress crowned with machicolations, was once the residence of the Monaco royal family. The museum now houses a varied collection of art. In Cagnes, visitors can also enjoy swimming along the 3.5km pebble beach, as well as sailing, water skiing, scuba diving and fishing.
