Bandol is not just a paradise for water sport lovers. With its shady, flower-decked marina, exotic garden famed for its cacti, its expanses of sandy beach and its windy little island, the seaside resort has much to offer. Venture inland and you will come across one of the most renowned vineyards in the South. Set in a verdant landscape dotted with broom, cypresses and olive trees, it was one of France's first vineyards to receive AOC certification (label of quality), in 1941.
