Hikes are organised to Balme Pass from the hamlet of Tour, located at the foot of the glacier of the same name. At 2 204 m above sea level, a broad panorama over the Swiss Alps to the north east and over Chamonix Valley to the south-west, where one can catch a glimpse of Mont Blanc.
