This grotto was discovered in 1835. It was cut by an underground river that no longer exists. It is adorned with stalactites and stalagmites. Cascading fragments of eroded hills are its main curious feature. Concretions have shapes that have given their name to several rooms, like the Virgin Fountain Room, Painters' Gallery or Kings' Room.
