Grotte de Coufin : The Michelin guide review

The cliffs surrounding the village of Choranche are home to a number of caves, each very different from the other. The most famous of these is the Grotte de Coufin, a vast chamber 16m high and 70m wide, where thousands of stalactites are reflected in the water of a lake. The tour continues through galleries illuminated to magical effect. The visit ends with a sound and light show in the cathedral chamber.
