Travel guide Kientzheim
Kientzheim : The Michelin guide review
The entrance to Kientzheim puts visitors fully in the picture: above the Lalli gate is Alsace's chief face-puller, with his tongue sticking out. A medieval atmosphere fills the streets where strollers will encounter half-timbered houses, ancient wells and more. Nowadays the inhabitants work in the vineyards or make barrels, although sadly modern wine production has reduced the demand for barrels and wine-harvesting hods. On the last weekend in July there is a wine festival.
