Travel guide Kaysersberg
Kaysersberg
: The Michelin guide review
Little has changed in the birthplace of Albert Schweitzer. The town is still medieval in feel, with old houses, the ruins of a castle, a fine altarpiece in the church of Ste Croix, a Renaissance well, a fortified bridge, and so on. What is new is that in 1975 Schlossberg was the first wine to earn the label “grand cru d'Alsace”, the Christmas market has become one of the most famous in the region, and an arts centre named after Schweitzer has been built.
