At the heart of this trendy district of young Belgian designers, this museum is housed in a late-19C building, pleasantly remodelled by architect Marie-Josée Van Hee. The permanent collections are presented thematically and regularly revised, allowing visitors to see the historic and the contemporary (costume, lace, accessories, fabrics) and to follow fashion’s evolution down the years. The building also houses the Flanders Fashion Institute and the style department of the Academy of Fine Art.
